St. John's Wort has antimicrobial and antidepressant effects. It is a mild sedative.
Dosage is one cc per 50 lbs. weight three times daily. Use eight cc three times daily for large herbivores.
There are many interactions between St. John's Wort and other drugs. Its use concurrent with other drugs is discouraged.
Side effects are minimal and usually less than experienced with other antidepressants.
Avoid use during pregnancy.
